Active Minds is a student mental health advocacy and awareness organization that provides numerous resources and implements various efforts in advancing mental health awareness', including suicide prevention, depression, anxiety, etc.
Our purpose is to fortify campus-wide support by hosting, educating, and fostering a community of encouragement and understanding, by students, for students.

Membership Benefits
Members can list their involvement within Active Minds on their resume as advocacy, mental health, or event/marketing experience. Psychology majors in particular can gain better understanding of various mental health acknowledgements outside the classroom and build off of that from personal interactions with fellow members. All members regardless of their major, however, will create many new friendships through Active Minds, and furthermore be surrounded by like-minded individuals who will provide an abundancy of support and togetherness.

Mission
Activity & Service Fee is a per-credit fee that all students pay. These fees are awarded through three processes whose corresponding forms can be found in this organization: Annual Budget, Travel Grants, and Project Grants. Annual Budgets are awarded to Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), Sports Club Council, Departments, and other similar entitites on a yearly basis during the spring budget process. Travel Grants are given to undergraduate and graduate students who are travelling to advance their educational experience in their area of study or interest. Project Grants are given to active RSOs and departments NOT FUNDED through the yearly budget process and are to be used for one-time activities that promote the mission of the organization and/or enhance University-wide programm

The African American Student Association's primary objectives are to promote humanism within the University community and improve the educational, social, and political environment among African American students. Establish and maintain a line of communication among African American students, other student organizations, student government, and the administration of the University of West Florida. AASA strives to develop programs (educational, social, and entertaining) that are beneficial to the development of a wider perspective of diversity, culture, acceptance, and engagement in the UWF community. As an organization , we plan to stress the need for unity among African American students and accent the various forms of African American community. Along with highlighting education as a necessity for the development of a more secure African American community all while serving as the voice and representative on issues concerning African American students at the University of West Florida.

An issue with gaming communities is that they are often purely online – rarely will you have friends to game with beyond your personal friends. We wanted to build a physical, real, and tangible community where people who love games can have fun together.

The purpose of this group is to allow students to collaborate on AI research projects and participate in data science competitions to help prepare them for careers in AI research and data science. We meet on a weekly basis to discuss research projects we're working on and prepare for competitions we're planning on participating in.

Group members are free to participate in whichever activities spark their interest, and are encouraged to bring in their own research projects and competitions they're interested in. Deep learning in particular is what the group usually focuses on, but our projects are by no means limited to that. We encourage our members to explore their own interests and collaborate with other like-minded students in the group. The group is member-oriented and its primary purpose is to facilitate the collaboration and exchange of knowledge between group members of all interests and experience levels.
