Active Minds is a student mental health advocacy and awareness organization that provides numerous resources and implements various efforts in advancing mental health awareness', including suicide prevention, depression, anxiety, etc.
Our purpose is to fortify campus-wide support by hosting, educating, and fostering a community of encouragement and understanding, by students, for students.

Members can list their involvement within Active Minds on their resume as advocacy, mental health, or event/marketing experience. Psychology majors in particular can gain better understanding of various mental health acknowledgements outside the classroom and build off of that from personal interactions with fellow members. All members regardless of their major, however, will create many new friendships through Active Minds, and furthermore be surrounded by like-minded individuals who will provide an abundancy of support and togetherness.

Activity & Service Fee is a per-credit fee that all students pay. These fees are awarded through three processes whose corresponding forms can be found in this organization: Annual Budget, Travel Grants, and Project Grants. Annual Budgets are awarded to Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), Sports Club Council, Departments, and other similar entitites on a yearly basis during the spring budget process. Travel Grants are given to undergraduate and graduate students who are travelling to advance their educational experience in their area of study or interest. Project Grants are given to active RSOs and departments NOT FUNDED through the yearly budget process and are to be used for one-time activities that promote the mission of the organization and/or enhance University-wide programm

The purpose of this group is to allow students to collaborate on AI research projects and participate in data science competitions to help prepare them for careers in AI research and data science. We meet on a weekly basis to discuss research projects we're working on and prepare for competitions we're planning on participating in.

Group members are free to participate in whichever activities spark their interest, and are encouraged to bring in their own research projects and competitions they're interested in. Deep learning in particular is what the group usually focuses on, but our projects are by no means limited to that. We encourage our members to explore their own interests and collaborate with other like-minded students in the group. The Marine Ecology Research Society (MERS) is an organization of students with a passion for marine biology and environmental science. MERS is highly malleable by the undergraduate members, and we actively encourage their participation in making MERS even better. We currently have seven officer positions that are always filled by undergraduate members, each with their unique and important roles in making sure we're on track. As of Fall of 2020, MERS has been dedicated to restoring and caring for the club's tank in Building 58. Thanks to the hard work of tank managers, MERS officers, and volunteers, this tank is now home to many types of coral, invertebrates, and fish. The care of these organisms will remain one of the key objectives of our organization, and we hope to provide many educational experiences for both students and visitors through the MERS tank!"

We are a competitive trial team who competes against different Universities in a "mock" trial setting using a hypothetical court case released by the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA). Each year the case is switched between a civil case and a criminal case and every University receives the same materials to compete against each other with. Some of the skills our members learn are preparing opening statements/closing arguments, learning how to structure direct and cross-examination questions, learning more evidence issues, and much more. Our team has won numerous awards at competitions such as individual outstanding attorney/witness awards, the Spirit of AMTA Award, and ranking at many competitions. Although our organization is based around the legal system, it is not limited to only legal studies majors, and we welcome all majors!

physics societies... all of which are members of the American Institute of Physics (AIP). AIP
serves this federation of physical science societies in a common mission to promote physics
and allied fields.
Since you can do this for up to three years, you might consider joining different societies
each year and trying out acoustics, crystallography, rheology, geophysics, or optics just to
see what those societies have to offer. In any case, SPS is eager for you to see the breadth

SNA will receive a portion of the money made during our specified fundraising time depending on how many members participate. We always have tons of fun, both at community and fundraising events because it gives us the chance to network and be involved outside of campus. We also strive to attend conferences and participate in nursing legislation. Each year, usually spring semester, UWF SNA attends advocacy days in Tallahassee. This gives us the ability to meet and network with legislators on issues we believe should be known, while also being able to review pending legislations.

The Supply Chain Logistics Association (SCLA) is a professional organization designed to give our members interaction with industry professionals. Our motto in SCLA is "Link with Industry, Launch Your Career" and that is exactly what we strive to do for our members every semester with the help of our Faculty adviser Dr. Keller and other logistics professors Dr. LeMay and Dr. Brazhkin. Each semester our members tour facilities that require logistics and supply chain management everyday including Hyundai manufacturing plant, Family Dollar Distribution Center, both the Ports in Mobile and Pensacola, Lewis Bear Company distribution center, and others. We help our members build their resumes and connect them with recruiters from companies around the United States. For those who are still in search of what you want to do after you graduate or even just looking at all the job opportunities that will open up in the next few years of your lives, you are encouraged to join and attend our meetings. This is your opportunity to learn and be a part of how all the products in your life start in a manufacturing process and arrive to the consumer. You might wonder what are some of the other benefits of attending meetings and joining the SCLA, well here are a few: 1. Nearly 100% placement for the SCLM program's graduates wanting to enter the field of supply chain management and logistics. We graduate about 20 students per year and are growing. 2. We have about 100 students in the current certificate and degree programs with significant growth. 3. Industry reports show that about half of the U.S. companies plan to hire supply chain people within the year. Other reports show that there are many more job opportunities in supply chain logistics than there are graduates - statistics indicate a 6 to 1 ratio of jobs to graduates. 4. We have some major industry partners that annually have been hiring many of our students, including Crane Worldwide Logistics, AAA Cooper Transportation, Avalex Technologies, Ascend Performance Materials, C.H. Robinson, J.B. Hunt Transport, and R+L Carriers. 5. Our logistics courses at UWF are some of the highest enrolled classes within the College of Business.
